Azra has worked more than ten years in higher education, including career services, alumni relations, and communications, with a focus on leveraging data and technology to build engagement and meet institutional goals. Prior to joining The Collective, Azra supported employer relations efforts at Grand Valley State University, where she not only coached organizations on inclusive recruitment practices, but worked to improve systems and processes to better serve internal and external constituent needs.

 

Azra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. As a first-generation college student, Azra is passionate about elevating career services work in institutions to support the success of all learners.

 

Azra lives with her family in West Michigan and enjoys spending time on Lake Michigan’s lakeshore, painting and drawing, and is an avid reader.
