Questions/Inquiries: services@careerleadershipcollective.com

We are carefully and continually assessing our services during this unique time in order to be flexible with time, mode of engagement, and more. We appreciate your questions, your advice, and your insights into what might most help our college and university career services leaders and teams.   Below is an overview of how our core services are affected.

Training & Consulting

What modes of training and consulting are still available to staff teams or campus leaders during the COVID-19 crisis?

We have of course rescheduled or shifted to remote for all on-campus staff training and consulting until it is safe to travel and meet in person. We are speaking with upper administrators about how to be strategic with career services in this crisis. We are still offering online training and consulting that looks like, for example, sessions with your career services leadership team, a 2-3 hour intensive for your entire team, and 1:1 leadership/strategy assistance.

Will in-person staff retreats, design sessions, and consulting projects resume when staff are back on campuses?

Yes! Many are telling us that our consultative services will be all the more important to the university mission when staff and faculty are back on campus. They are a terrific way to sync-up your entire team or campus around strategic priorities and forward movement.

On which topics do you provide retreats, design sessions, and trainings?

Many and custom. In light of the crisis, we are helping teams with specific tactical strategies to reach students, scaling at a rapid pace, focusing on priorities, and planning for the future. We often teach and facilitate on scaling, classroom integration, career champions networks, employer relations delivery models, DEI topics, trends in the field, and change leadership related topics.

NACM Survey

How is the NACM Survey process effected by the COVID-19 crisis?

It is not. The NACM survey is a fully online experience for partner schools and their alumni, and it only takes a partner school 6-8 total labor hours over 8 months - super minimal workload. We are working with each new partner school to adjust their contract timeline or implementation timeline as needed to ensure they have ample breathing room.

Our 2020 FDS response and outcomes are going to drop significantly this year, could NACM 5/10 data help us keep a success story going?

Yes! The NACM 5/10 surveys collects alumni career outcome data for undergrads and grads at the 5 and 10 year mark for our partner schools. As FDS outcomes drop, we know campuses want to have a more fully representative and positive story of Alumni Career Success to share with prospective students, alumni, donors, state officials and more.

Our institution needs broader alumni career data VERY SOON to help with enrollment. Can you help?

Events

What is happening with The Collective 2020 Annual Conference?

It is rescheuled for November 2-4, 2020, in Scottsdale, AZ. We have an entire FAQ page dedicated just to the annual conference. It has potential to be the biggest reunion party of the century in Career Services, given that everyone will be ready to gather again. Join us!

What is happening with your signature events this summer: ASPIRE, KICKSTART, and MASTERMIND?

Summer Events: ASPIRE (June 9-11), KICKSTART (July 21-22), MASTERMIND (Aug 11-13) We are thoughtfully watching the impact of the coronavirus around the country. We do not know if there will still be implications for our signature events, which are small groups (30 people or less). In April, May and June we will be reaching out to each registrant to understand more about what is happening on your campus and seek your insight about best forward movement. We would also like to have conversations with those considering attending any of these three signature events, so that we can hear from those who really want to come, but are simply unsure of what travel will look like. We want to 'save' a spot for you if able. Can you still register: Yes!

Are you considering any special regional events if things get back to normal this fall?

Yes! Please reach out to us to talk more about this if you'd like to host one.

Job Postings / Executive Search

Are you still doing executive searches and are there any adaptations during the crisis?

Yes, we have searches happening right now, and we are also accepting new executive searches for university leaders that need help finding a new Career Services leader. We work closely with campus leadership on timelines and on-campus visit issues associated with COVID-19, and all of our current searches are progressing without issue.

Can we still post jobs or look for career staff jobs on your site?

Yep! Happy to help. Individuals are still job searching and colleges and universities are still searching for leadership positions! If you have a campus-wide membership, it is free to post your openings.
