University Partnerships Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Career Leadership Collective (The Collective), a prominent higher education consulting and data firm focusing on systemic career readiness, and home of The National Alumni Career Mobility (NACM) Survey and EMBARK (FDS) services, is seeking a University Partnerships Manager to focus developing new NACM survey and EMBARK survey customers at colleges and universities.

 

The successful candidate will be a goal-driven, administratively organized, relationship-focused, and skilled information presenter with a proven track record of tangible results in sales and excellence in customer communications.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager of University Partnerships. 

More about The Collective Team

  • Develop multi-stakeholder campus relationships: Garner and develop lasting partnerships with career services staff and leaders, institutional researchers, academic deans, alumni affairs staff, and other key campus leaders throughout the survey exploration and purchasing process.
     

  • Deliver product and service overviews: Craft and deliver clear presentations articulating value propositions to our campus partners in order to illuminate our career data services, insights, and research into practical and critical applications.
     

  • Positively represent The Collective brand: Our survey partners are also our consulting and training partners, our events attendees, our members, our content engagers, and our higher education family. 
     

  • Research new campus partners: Develop a keen understanding of the unique institutional profiles of our current and emerging campus partners in order to better meet their career data needs through our custom survey services.  
     

  • Regularly engage with our CRM database: Record and organize contacts in collaboration with the team to maximize our CRM database as a primary customer interaction log and prospect research tool. 
     

  • Process partner service agreements: Ensure clarity in communication with information between our leadership and legal reviews and campus procurement officers regarding security documentation, statement of work questions and technical product specifications. 
     

  • Collaborate with the Career Data and Research Team: Maintain ongoing communication with the Career Data and Research team regarding topics that impact survey services, customer engagement, and product scalability. 

In addition to memberships, online content, executive search, consulting and training, The Career Leadership Collective currently offers the following survey services for US colleges and universities:

 

  1. NACM 5/10: Comprehensive annual alumni career outcomes survey of 5- and 10-year alumni for campuses. Includes an annual national report for the field of higher education. 

  2. NACM Select: NACM 5/10 plus select class year. 

  3. NACM Complete: NACM for all alumni of an institution. 

  4. EMBARK First Destination Survey Services: Comprehensive collection, cleaning, interactive dashboard visualization, and reports service, which comes with an alumni data refresh to increase knowledge rates and the ability to connect to the NACM core for increased results on career preparation and campus best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales, outreach, business partnership development, or fundraising. 

  • Clear experience providing informational overviews about a product or service to a customer base.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree 

  • Experience within higher education, career services, EdTech, or adjacent industries

  • Understanding of college career services and their career analytics and data storytelling needs

  • Understanding of the diverse functional areas within higher education and a natural confidence and comfortability interacting with various stakeholders and leaders

  • Personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion 

  • Outstanding written and executive communication skills

  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software

JOB DETAILS

  • Full-time, salaried, exempt from overtime

  • Fully remote, moderate travel

  • Base Salary + Commission Range Estimate: $60,000-$85,000 in year one + benefits

  • Start date: January 2023
