About the event

As career services leaders, the ability to effectively present, propose, and persuade cabinets, boards, and senior leaders is paramount to garnering support, securing resources, and driving positive change within our institutions. Whether advocating for budget allocations, pitching new initiatives, or seeking buy-in for strategic plans, mastering the art of persuasion is essential for advancing the mission and impact of career services.

This workshop offers career services leaders practical strategies and techniques to enhance their presentation and persuasion skills when engaging with senior decision-makers. Participants will learn how to craft compelling proposals, tailor messages to different audiences, and navigate challenging conversations with confidence and finesse. By honing these essential skills, career services leaders will be better equipped to effectively advocate for the needs of their departments and drive meaningful outcomes for the students they serve.
