ACCELERATED UNDERSTANDING OF THE CAREER SERVICES FIELD
FOR NEW CAREER SERVICES STAFF
COVID-19 Update on KICKSTART
We have decided to cancel Kickstart for 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis. All attendees were notified. We are targeting late 2021 for the next Kickstart program for new career services colleagues.
Who should attend?
Kickstart is for new career services professionals who have been in their role for 0-2 years. The curriculum has been developed with a diverse audience in mind, both from education, background, and years of experience. Kickstart is for professionals new to career services who may or may not have previous experience in higher education or at other offices on campus. They might be recent masters or Phd graduates or recent hires from industry. The program has also been thoughtfully designed to cater toward career professionals with various career services roles such as career education, employer relations, internships and experiential learning, or marketing/data/operations. We hope you will join the Kickstart community.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
YOUR IN PERSON VISIT + MORE
TRANSPORTATION ON YOUR OWN
We recommend flying/driving in that morning, but make sure you are not late for our 3:00pm start time!
LODGING ON YOUR OWN
There will be many hotel options nearby. It is up to you to find a great place that fits your budget.
Are seats limited? Yes, registration is first come, first served.
Can I save a spot for a future new hire whose name I don't know yet? Yes, you have this option at registration.
Can I send a Grad Student that works in our office? Yes, but we only recommend the investment if you are likely to hire them full-time. There is no discount for grad students, but stay tuned in 2021 for a signature program for those 'considering entering the field'.
